The CCS girls travelled to Donegal Town with U15s and U18s Thursday, 22nd March to take part in the Donegal Schools Blitz. Both teams played St. Columba's Stranorlar and Magh Ene, Bundoran. The U15s beat St. Columba's 25-5 in their first game and defeated Magh Ene 15-0. The girls played extremely well with outstanding performances from Kellie McLaughlin (3B) and Eimear McLaughlin (3C). The U18s drew with Magh Ene 10-10 and were beaten by St. Columba's 10-0.

The girls braved the cold conditions and travelled to Letterkenny for the Regional Development Day and trained alongside players from all over Donegal and Cavan. The day was organised by the Ulster branch and coordinated by the YDOs. There was a good turnout and the girls enjoyed the experience. More girls rugby is planned for the new year. All new players are welcome. Training is on after school every Wednesday evening.

RUGBY - The U16s claimed their second scalp of the Donegal Cup with a strong win over a very physical St. Eunan's side. CCS played to their strengths and defended very well to hold off several spirited attacks from the Letterkenny lads.

RUGBY - The XV opened their defence of the U18 Cup with a comprehensive 57-0 victory over Mulroy College. Onlookers were treated to a clinical display of rugby from the home team. One or two casual observers might have gone home with news of a fight on the field. Those closer to the game call that a scrum...CCS are a formidable outfit. Ulster, take note...
