U14 Boys Cruise to Donegal League Honours

CCS started the game brightly with a goal from Christopher McLaughlin from the first attack after some great play down the right wing. Carn doubled their lead on the counter attack when Brandon Browne picked up a long clearance and rifled into the top corner. Just before half time, the lads took a 3-0 lead when Josh Lafferty put a pin-point free kick onto Charlie Doherty's head for a great finish.

Gavin McLaughlin in the Carn goal dealt very well with any efforts made by the opposition, which were few and far between. In the second half, St. Eunan's found themselves 4-0 down when Brandon Browne again broke through to finish past the keeper.  Charlie Doherty was harshly deemed to have committed a foul in the middle of the park and St. Eunan's scored what proved to be a consolation goal from the free kick. Carn held out to beat the All-Ireland Under-14 Champions and lift the Donegal League Trophy. Well done to all involved (including the man in charge, Mr. James Humphries, who has secured silverware in his first season at the helm).
