All Ireland ChessZ Final

All Ireland ChessZ Final, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary

On Tuesday 12th May, 9 students from Carndonagh Community School made the long trip to Nenagh, Co. Tipperary for the All Ireland ChessZ Final. They had qualified to represent Donegal in a provincial competition which was held in CCS in January.

They went head-to-head with the very best chess players in the country and rose to the challenge with determination and skill, making both themselves and the school immensely proud. The level of play was nothing short of extraordinary, and in a fiercely competitive field, both our Girl’s Team and Champions Team secured places in the top 10 nationwide. An outstanding achievement—congratulations to all involved!
