U17 Girls Cruise to Ulster Final

TYs Comepete in VEX Robotics Competition
Students from CCS travelled to ATU Letterkenny to compete in the VEX Robotics competition. It was a fantastic day out for our students and got to see STEM learning coming into action. Open Night 2026
There wasn't a seat free on Tuesday evening as CCS welcomed First Year pupils and parents/guardians to the Áras for CCS Open Night 2026. HSCL Co-ordinator, Yvonne Doherty hosted the event, and there were performances from the Drama Group and the Senior Choir, before those assembled headed to the Concourse for a walkabout. CCS Hosts Donegal Chess Tournament - Tuesday 20th January
CCS will host the Donegal Chess Tournament on Tuesday 20th January, organised by ChessZ. ChessZ events are a 6-round Swiss tournament, using clocks with 15 minutes on each. TY Politics Trip to Dublin
Our Transition Year students travelled to Dublin on Wednesday for a fun-filled Politics trip. Politics Pupils Host Mock EU Council

5th Year Visit to Dáil Éireann – Annual Oireachtas Quiz
Yesterday, three 5th Year Politics and Society students travelled to Dáil Éireann to take part in the first annual Oireachtas Schools Quiz, an event to mark Oireachtas na nÓg and deepen student engagement with national politics. The 5th Year LCA group visited the Rally School on Wednesday for a practical, hands-on session focused on road safety, vehicle maintenance, and real-world driving awareness. NW Academy TY Workshop
The NW Academy visited CCS recently, joining our TY students for three lively workshops: bodhrán, jiving, and table tennis. The school was full of rhythm, movement and plenty of friendly competition.
