5th Year Visit to Dáil Éireann – Annual Oireachtas Quiz
Yesterday, three 5th Year Politics and Society students travelled to Dáil Éireann to take part in the first annual Oireachtas Schools Quiz, an event to mark Oireachtas na nÓg and deepen student engagement with national politics. Carndonagh Community School was one of only 30 schools invited from across the country, making the occasion a significant honour for the students and the school. 2025 DAY OF ACTION FOR CHARITABLE CAUSES
Today, Friday 14th November, is the school's Annual Day of Action. Pupils are tasked with making positive contributions and carrying out positive actions. There is also a significant charitable aspect to the initiative. Sponsorship cards have been distributed to pupils. All donations much appreciated. Donations to be returned by Friday 21st November. Concern Debate Competition Opener
The all-new CCS debating team met Magh Ene of Bundoran on Friday to oppose the motion that: 'Disinformation is the biggest threat to peace in 2025' . The team, made up of all girls this year, gave a wonderful first performance. Their speeches were well-researched and they each spoke confidently about their topics opposing the motion.
