Huge congrats to the U15 boys' soccer team who won a rip-roaring FAI Schools Ulster Final against Abbey Vocational School on Thursday, 30th March. In an excellent game, the boys initially trailed 1-0. But goals from Sonny Bonner, Olly Coyle and Patrick Doherty put CCS 3-1 ahead. Abbey were not done though and two late goals brought the game to extra-time. The stalemate remained unbroken...The dreaded penalty shootout was the last resort to split the teams after an enthralling match.
CCS came out on the right side of the shootout, with goalkeeper Odhran Douglas to the fore. The boys progress to the All-Ireland semi-final, where they will play the Leinster champions after Easter. Well done to the boys, and coach Mr Rob Mullally.
