It was another perfect score for the CCS Debate Team last week as they achieved an "outstanding" win against Santa Sabina Dominican College Dublin. Our protagonists had the unenviable task of proposing the motion 'Voluntourism does more harm than good to communities in the global south.' Their next challenge will be a national last-16 showdown against Ursuline Secondary School, Thurles, where they will again be the proposers of the argument - 'In the age of social media activism, young people often prioritise virtue signalling over genuine commitment to social change.' Normally, we'd wish our own team good luck...But we'll wish the opposition good luck on this occasion!
