First Year students recently participated in an archaeology workshop - 'the Big Dig' - with the School of Irish Archaeology. This gave them the opportunity to find out more about the work of an archaeologist with two archaeologists who have worked in this area for over two decades. Averil and Éimhin were so insightful and answered all sorts of questions with ease. Students were able to excavate and explore a replica ‘Viking house’ and examine artefacts through this fun, simulated archaeological dig.
