Congratulations to all of the 6th year students who took part in and completed this year’s very successful Peer Tutoring Programme. This is the second year that Peer Tutoring has been held in CCS. Sixth year students were surveyed at the start of the year and the subjects with the highest demand were facilitated. Fifty-two students signed up to be tutored in small groups by one of their peers in six subjects - Irish, Maths, Spanish, French, Biology, and Chemistry. Tutoring was held four evenings a week over ten weeks. The small groups created a positive learning environment for all participating students, including the tutors themselves.
We would like to thank the tutors for imparting their knowledge and creating a relaxed learning space. The tutors were Eimear O'Doherty, Alisha O'Connor, Hannah Lynch, Antony Shaji, Jamie Stewart, and Aoibheann Toland. Missing from the photograph is Aishling Doherty and Eva Livadaris. Huge thanks to 5Ten Trust who helped fund the Peer Tutoring Programme. We plan to run the programme again from October.
