'Hope Matters' Programme

Dear parents/guardians,

Your children are currently taking part in a programme through their Guidance class called “Hope Matters”. Throughout this programme they will be encouraged to focus on the positives and be mindful of all the good they have in their lives with a view to building resilience. Studies have shown that this programme is more effective when parents/guardians are also involved.

We would like to give you the opportunity to join us in school to complete this programme so that you can understand and be better able to support your child in some of the challenges they face today. This course is particularly helpful for parents who are supporting children who suffer from anxiety/ depression.

There will be 2 groups of parents/guardians taking part. We can only accommodate 12 in each group. One will run during the school day and the other in the evenings. The times and dates are as follows;

Evenings:

Wednesday 19th April 5:30pm – 8:30pm

Wednesday 26th April 5:30pm – 8:30pm

Wednesday 3rd May 5:30pm – 8:30pm

During the school day:

Friday 28th April 10am – 3pm

Friday 5th May 10am – 3pm

If you would like to be included in this programme please get in touch ASAP as places are likely to fill up quickly. You can sign up by contacting Marie-Therese Doherty on 086 822 2169.
