Past-pupil Paul Lynch wins 2023 Booker Prize

Past-pupil, Paul Lynch has launched himself to the level of literary great after winning the 2023 Booker Prize for his novel, Prophet Song. The Booker Prize is a prestigious literary award that recognises the best novel written in the English language each year. Paul was a pupil in CCS from 1990 to 1995. He returned in February 2019 as guest speaker at the CCS Annual Prizegiving, speaking about his time in Inishowen, and reading an excerpt from his novel, Grace, set during the Great Famine. Congratulations to Paul on his phenomenal achievement. It's fairly likely that our Leaving Cert pupils will be answering exam questions on his work before too long.
