Conán Kearney became an Irish champion on Sunday past, winning the 56kgs Irish boxing title. Conán got the nod from all three judges against his final opponent, Levi Mongan. He scored a similar result in his semi-final bout against Pat Quilligan on Friday. Conán adds his name to a distinguished list of national boxing champions from Inishowen.
